DXF nesting for laser, CNC and knife cutting
True-shape nesting of flat parts for metal, plywood, plastic, gaskets and soft materials. Choose a workflow and check its limits before preparing the cutting job.
Laser cutting: metal, plywood and acrylic
Upload ready-made outlines of brackets, panels and decorative parts, then set quantities and sheet dimensions. Nesting uses part shapes, holes and permitted rotations. Set laser power, pierces, tabs and kerf compensation separately in your CAM software; the layout does not configure the cutting process.
Plasma and waterjet cutting
Arrange flat metal parts for plasma or suitable part contours for waterjet cutting. Choose separation distances for the actual process. The service does not calculate plasma heat effects, waterjet settings or tool lead-ins. It prepares geometry that must be checked and processed in machine software.
CNC routing: wood, MDF and plastics
Plan flat plywood, MDF and plastic components, including model-making and prototypes. Configure cutter diameter, allowances, workholding and pockets in your machine software. Nesting spacing is not a tool-access check. This is contour nesting, not a guillotine cutting optimiser for a panel saw.
Knife and plotter cutting
Arrange outlines for paper, cardboard, film and connected stencils inside a rectangular working area. Enter the dimensions of a roll segment yourself. Continuous roll feeding, printed graphics, registration-mark detection and print-to-cut alignment are not included; prepare these operations in the equipment software.
Gaskets, seals, foam and EVA
Nest flat gaskets with holes, rubber, cork and felt parts, or 2D outlines of EVA and foam inserts. With part-in-part placement enabled, suitable cavities in other parts can also be used. This creates flat layouts, not multi-depth pockets or three-dimensional protective inserts.
Fabric and leather cutting layouts
Use ready-made simple contours on a uniform rectangular blank. Restrict rotations when the material has a direction. Automatic pattern matching, nap detection, individual grainlines, hide outlines and defect zones are not supported. Pattern design and size grading remain separate tasks before preparing the DXF parts.
Packaging, signage and prototypes
Arrange outer cut shapes for packaging, flat inserts, panels and individual connected letters. Put disconnected components in separate DXF files. The service does not design joints, carry printed artwork or retain folds, creases and engraving as distinct production operations; prepare those separately when needed.
Material planning and CAM handoff
The sheet count and found layout help estimate material requirements. A mathematical minimum or fixed saving percentage is not guaranteed. Download a DXF for each physical sheet and a ZIP archive. G-code, postprocessing, common-line cutting and nesting on arbitrary-shaped remnants are not provided.
